Cold gets back in the saddle as downpour lashes Karachi, different urban areas
KARACHI/HYDERABAD: Moderate to weighty showers splashed Karachi and a few pieces of the territory on Saturday, causing cold, which had decreased by and large, to get back in the saddle.
The Met Office said that the ongoing spell of downpours was because of a westerly wave that is supposed to achieve more showers early Sunday morning.
Be that as it may, the weather conditions will remain somewhat overcast over the course of the day on Sunday, it added.
It's actually coming down in practically all region of the city when this report was documented.
The rain caused disruption in power supply in several parts of the city, including parts of Clifton and Defence.
In Hyderabad, the rain started around noon and continued intermittently till evening.
The temperature had started to shoot up a couple of days back but rain on Friday and Saturday caused it to drop again.
It also rained in Dadu, Jamshoro, Khairpur Nathan Shah, Mehar and Johi towns where it began last night and continued through the night and the next day.
According to reports, it rained heavily in Gorakh Hills Station, Nai Gaaj, Kachho, Sehwan, Sann, Manjhand, Kotri and Thana Bula Khan.
The rain also soaked Shaheed Benazirabad, Naushahro Feroze, Moro, Kandiaro and Sanghar. It started raining lightly on Friday afternoon and continued with intervals throughout the day on Saturday.
